Killian,
I'd say that session's a little light.... Not that i'm saying what to do is right but........ warm up (10-15 min jog) 1km run/10-15 min bike/1km run (steady pace/70-80% HR ish)...2-3 mins rest then 1km run / 10-15 min bike/1km run (race pace).... 2-3 min rest and then.. 1km run / 10-15 min bike/1km run (race pace)......... 10-15min warm down + stretches
session should be all over in an hour and a half!!!
Easy knowing I won't be there. You could leave out the 1st run in each session for the first few weeks and add them in later. Definetly find the fast repetitive sessions the most benificial for getting speed up as racing season approaches.
Sorry wont be there (but might turn up to do timekeeping sometime). Theres always something comforting about watching other peoples torture (Sorry JP).

Brendan didn't run Zurich, but his brother Colm did.
Thanks every one for your support. There was plenty of helpful criticism to my training which I (mostly) took on board and it definitely helped.
Didn't quite make the Beijing qualifying standard but I enjoyed it all the same. I also burned off sufficient body fat to allow me fit in to my newly aquired Midland Tri gear...

Sorry Colm. Couldn't put my finger on it, I knew there was something wrong when I was typing.... thought it was the wrong marathon!
Well done again. I must sit down with ya sometime for a post-mortem on your training. I've signed up for Dublin City marathon and training hasn't kicked in yet. Tick, Tock!

I still can't walk properly after Sunday so wont be training till next week. If I can make it out of bed Saturday morning (going celebrating Friday night) I might be at the half iron man simulation practise thing that I heard about...just for a butchers though, I wont be taking part. Is that still happening?
