On Saturday the 14th of March myself and eimear hughes went down to Limerick for one of Triathlon Ireland's Talent I.D. days. It was due to start at 10 a.m. so we left mullingar ar at 7 a.m. It was then a 2 and a half hour drive to the University of Limerick. When we got there we signed and were given our numbers. We then went for a presentation on Triathlon Ireland. When that was over we went for the swim . It was longcourse and I wore my skins. Ihad to do a 200 free and I did it in 2:14. Eimear did it in 2:35. That was over at 12 and the 1,500m run started at 3. We went for lunch and then just waited. We did the run. Igot 5:15 and eimear got 6:51. We then went home.We stopped in Birr to watch the Ireland v Scotland rugby match. We got to mullingar at quarter to 8. I got the bus home at 8:30. Since then Igot an e-mail saying that I was invited to 5 weekends to train with the National Development Squad. I am 13 [points off the regional standar and 23 off the National Development squad . I have to get the extra points by October.
