Hi Dave I use have used a couple of diffrent types. I was using Vittoria Diamante pro. they roll well and are reasonable hardy.Found them to be good for road conditions around this neck of the woods. I have used Schwalbe Ultremo but found then to be a bit delicate in the side wall department when hitting stones or holes in the road. They roll along nicely though. At the moment have changed to Continental GP 4000 They use their black chilli compound in these. Have not really used them in the wet yet but yesterday at a road race the seem to roll along really well good grip in the corners. About to change over to a tubeless setup so hopefully punctures will be a thing of the past. Unfortunatly the wheels ar a bit expensive and there is only one tyre available at the moment the Hutchinson Fusion 2 Road Tubeless. You can get a conversion kit from Stans no tubes for normal road wheel conversion link here www.notubes.com/product_info.php/products_id/403this would enable fitting of the hutchinson tyres. Peter and Steve in the wheelers have been doing a lot of research into tyres at the recently it might be worth having a chat with them. They are away at the moment but will be back next week. Máirtín
