hi there, while i take Brian B's point that i should spend more time training than "geeking" I am still interested in results. I am not at the level of Vera but enjoy none the less. AS part of a hobby i have created an on-line DB of results. For now it is retro-fitted with resutls from before and has a long way to go. however you can go in there now to look back on history right now there is just a list of races, if you click on the race it brings up the results , if you click on the club it will just show the club results. Will not be that impressive to most users but now that it is a true SQL database I will be adding more queries for fun. Note: if you were not registered under a club you will be down as "unattached" but I can fix manually. just say the word. precisiontiming.net/results/race_listing.phpideas are always welcome planned 1. search all races but athlete : next week 2. Sort by cycle, run, swim : 2 weeks probably

OK, firstly this is as sad and nerdy as it gets but I love it!!! Good stuff PJ, keep it coming. Make sure those SQL tables are well indexed for optimum response times

I have to agree with Ronan.... (even the bit about SQL tables to be well indexed for optimim response times.. ?)... Is it a good or bad thing that I have no idea what that is? Looking forward to the data base building up. Brian

Okay, i think with the last comments on indexing blah blah blah , Ronan Bracken gets the "geek of the year" . I now nominate him for 2009 awards. I will gladly give my 2008 award back (oops, did I get one )
