Hi all, Tom MC Grath from the Harriers plans to do a time trial this Saturday in Belvedere gardens at 11 am, It will consist of two of the big forest loops roughly 6k , all members of the triathlon club are very welcome and all times will be kept and he will repeat in a couple of weeks time to compare times and improvements or not.... Briged Mc Cabe plans to do a similar time trial on Sunday the 18th of January on the cross country track outside the car park in belvedere, details will be posted next week.

No Doug, no time trial on Sunday 18th Jan. a number of triathletes planning to run in Leinster X-Country race Sun 18th in Tymon Park as warm up for National Intermediate and Vets on 15th Feb.
If there is demand for a time trial we can organise it for Sunday Feb. 1st.
Good Lord! The PRESSSSSSSSURE !!!!!!!!!!
The New Year sounds busy and its only January!

I'd highly recommend anyone not cycling on Saturday morning to take part in Tom McGraths time trial. This event will not be effected by the weather! and if you do it on a saturday it will leave you free for the not to be missed LONG run on Sunday.
Now that I'm back training (as slow as it is), I think I'll start preaching again too..... More people should be doing more running!!!

I'm afraid not....... following a strict return to training plan!!! Hope to do it in a couple of weeks though. Starting back at zero is not easy.

Happy New Year to all my fans. Yeah I think its a great idea to do TT in the forest instead of battling the wind and rain on a bike. Unfortunately, my knee is in bits and cant run at moment ( not that I could before!) . Anyone got a good physio to recommend?
For those new members, I would urge you to do this TT. Its a great way of building up strength for sprint tri's and underfoot its comfortable rather than road running at this time of year. Good luck!

Does anyone know if the TT is starting at 11 on the dot? i.e. would I need to get there for 15 ~ 20 minutes beforehand if I want to do a warm up?

For those still interested in time trial today. It has been changed to 2pm. Three of us turned up for 11am start, Ronan Bracken, Michelle O'Halloran and myself. We did our own time trial of 2 laps, and no we wouldn't beef up our times, tempting as it is.

Goodie two shoes - i wish!! But anyhow I went back out at 2 to watch the "official time trial". Ronan, Tom McGrath has taken note of our times from this morning and is hoping to hold next time trial beginning of Feb. But please wait for official confirmation of this date. Mens trial consisted of 2 laps. Good news for the ladies though - only one lap is expected of u/us and time to beat is 11:41 set today by Mary Scully!!!!
