Was just reading this article and thought some may like it. Martin savage sent on a link where there was a very nice titanium frame in it and I wondered what was the differences in the frame materials is like sheldonbrown.com/frame-materials.html

Phil, Looks like an interesting fella this Sheldon 'Totally Tubular' Brown. Doesn;t rate Carbon much as a touring frame! By touring he means going on your holidays on your bike kinda thing does he?

Hi Brian, Yeah, paniers would be far to heavy for the carbon to support and afterall , you would not even put your carbon bike on a turbo. definitely would not take the abuse. I was thinking that I would look at a titanium bike as my next road frame . Only for two silly reasons , everyone now has carbon (me included) and titanium polished looks deadly. Anyhow, I have pretty much figured out that a Titanium frame is not in my budget, they are very expensive ..... ... and the Intel Bonus will not cover any goodies this year .... just need to train harder and lug my Aluminum frame around the place Phil
