Does Eoin's name infringe on the copyright of the 'Ireman' held every year up north? There is also talk of their being an Ironman race distance in Galway in 2009. One thing, are the races Tri Ireland sanctioned? Doug, you, more than most, have seen the massive organisational requirements for an Ironman diatance, I'd always be inclined to go for a race with pedigree - the Lost Sheep Race in Kenmare is a long distance tri, but one of the best in the country from what I ve heard. Just a thought!

the one in connemara doesnt seem to be goin ahead it was called the connemara man , the lost sheep is only half iron man distance but i agree it does have a good reputation, according to ian ryan he has cleadred dates wit TRI Ireland and has posted that if you think trainin for an iron man is hard you would want to try organising one but none the less time will tell everybody has to start some were , still think if it goes ahead it would be a good race on home soil ..

I agree, Wexford would be a really nice spot for a race - dont think there's a club down there, maybe there's one after starting up!
Are you gettin tempted - trying to break Gerry's record, three Ironman races in one year?
