Hello everyone,
Firstly thank you for the good wishes for the wedding we had a great time, more importantly we spent our Honeymoon cycling at the velodrome in Newport which was fantastic! If you ever get the chance to have a go then do, there were a surprisingly large number of triathletes at our session so it must do you some good!
As we do each year the wheelers are running a winter training camp with Padraig Marrey and as an extra bonus this year with track star and Olympic cyclist David O'Loughlin.
Dates 8th - 9th Nov Saturday for the less experienced and Sunday for the 'advanced' cyclists ( if you are not sure let us know and we can help)
There will be a coached ride in the morning, pedal technique, riding in a group etc.. Followed by some classroom based talks about nutrition, training, competition etc.. If there is something you think would be useful to discuss then let us know and it can be put forward.
The past 2 years of running the coaching day have been really successful and everyone enjoyed and benefited from the experience.
The cost is 50 euro which is a real bargain for the level of coaching you will receive. If you want to go ahead give steven a call or text on 0879476716, e-mail info@outdoorescape.ie or pop into the shop where we have a sign-on form. Numbers are limited and we really need to know who is attending beforehand.
Thank you and hopefully see you there!
PS Doug - need some painting done and have lost your number give steven a text..! - thanks ;D

If you have not yet decided yet about the coaching weekend time is running out! The Sunday group is filling nicely but Saturday is a bit small at the moment. The weekend really is appropriate for all club members you learn a lot and more importantly its fun! looking forward to hearing from you. Steven Franzoni 0879476716

Dear Triathletes,
i'd highly reccommend anyone who can make this weekend to do so, even if its only one day.
The weekend has been organised by the Wheelers to benifit everyone with the experience of a professional cycling coach aswell as a professional cyclist. This kind of expertise and opportunity does not come along to many clubs and you'd be mad to miss it.
Anyone thinking of going, do so,remember you are paying these guys to give you advise on basically how to become a better cyclist and with that in mind ask loads of questions. Tell them exactly what standard you are at (be honest) and tell them exactly where you want to be at the start of next season (no ambition too big!!). These guys have triathlon experience with Padraig Marry having coached the former womens ironman record holder.
I think Saturday is panning out to be more suitable for the triathletes as Sunday is for the more experienced guys and more specific to bike racing (plenty in the club would qualify for this too). So again I'd highly reccommend going along on Saturday - give Steven a shout on 0879476716 and he'll give you more details.
Enjoy - and for those of you who do go, you might pass on the info to those who can't make it.
Thanks Brian

Further - Dave O'Loughlin, who is one of the guys running the show for the camps, was recently signed to Sean Kelly's An Post Pro Team! Thats the calibre of training and advice thats on offer!
