Dear All,

It has been brought to my attention that Tom Shaw was involved in an uffortunate accident at the weekend while out cycling. Tom is a good friend to the Midland Triathlon Club coming to our assistance on many occasions not to mention a champion of bringing out the potential in new cyclists'. Tom has also completed (with ease) his first triathlon during the summer in Tri-to-beat-Cancer.

We wish Tom a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing him soon.

I was there when it happened and it caused terrible shock to all present. All I can say is that we were very fortunate to have Katherine Kenny and Dr. Michael O'Donovan out with the group on Sunday who were very responsive to the task at hand. Only for them, I dont know what we would have done in the situation.

I wish Tom a speedy recovery from his injuries, no doubt you will be back out with us when you have fully recovered.
