I received the following email from Scott Graham of TI, for anyone who may be interested in taking part:
Dear Children’s Officer,
I just wanted to drop you a quick note to inform you that the Youth Aquathlon National Championships takes place in Galway on the 20th of July. Age categories for the race are 8 & 9yrs, 10 & 11yrs, 12 & 13yrs and 14 & 15yrs. (All ages refer to the age of the child on 31st December of the race year.)
I’d appreciate it if you could spread the word to any of your junior members who may be interested and hopefully you have a future champion in your ranks!
A poster for the event is attached and some more information in available here. Race entries can be taken online via the TI website here
Junior Membership, which covers juniors for racing and club training, is available on the TI website for €1 and we have done away with the need for proof of age and can now accept signed parental waiver forms electronically. All changes implemented to make it less hassle for parents. We are hoping to make further improvements when we redevelop the website later in the year.
