Kids event at CK

Hi all,

As Ck is not a national series event this year, we are hoping to include a national kids event alongside the adult's event, something along the lines of Loughrea last year. TI are running a national kids series events, non competitive! For further details, just follow the link:

The plan is to have CK kids included in this.

However...! Before proceeding with an application from the club, I need help in organising a race route for it. If you are willing to help out please either respond to this thread or contact me by phone.

To date I have had no replies to my request for help. The request is now being upgraded to a plea from the heart!

I won't be able to do this on my own. I really think this could be a great kids event but without help we won't be able to do it.

Hi Guys,

Apologies for the delay in replying to your queries regarding kids' event. The committee met last night and this topic was discussed. With the early start of CK, it would mean the kids' event would need to start at about 8am. In addition to this there is an added safety issue with regards to cars arriving at the event coinciding with the kids race. Basically, given the logistics involved, we will not be hosting a national kid's event.

However, we will be holding a kids and juniors race the evening before CK adults. This will be open to MTC kids and juniors. Details of this will be posted nearer to the event.

Many thanks to all who volunteered their help and indeed you will be called upon for help in organising upcoming club kid's super sprints! Details to follow..
