The Northwest Duathlon will be the Irish Duathlon Championships for 2012, and takes place in Burnfoot, Co. Donegal on Sunday 22nd April.
Set on a flat fast course, it promises to be a tough but fun event to test your pre-triathlon season fitness.
Aswell as the 10k run/40k bike/5k run Championship distance (relay option also availible), there will be a short Du-A-Du distance for 2mile run/10mile bike/1.5mile run for beginners and novices.
There is a €1600 prize pool for the first 3 Male and Females in the Standard distance race, with €500 going to the first placed man and woman!!
Entry is through the Triathlon Ireland on-line system and costs €35 for Standard distance, €45 for Relay, and €25 for the Do-A-Du.
