Wow Dave, arent we the eager beaver!! Bit nippy out there on the water yet. I guess it will start up if the weather ever improves. Cant remember when the sessions started last year, guess Ironman bound were out early.
By the by, in the Elite race in Spain last weekend, Vannessa Fernandez (Womens World Champ) couldnt remove her helmet cos her hands were so cold and had to be carried back to the athletes lounge after a short distance in the run, suffering from the cold - water temperature in north Spain was 11C. By the by, Gavin Noble finished 20th and is back in position for Bejing qualification.

Dave, May BH is the first venture out I've heard about. We can probably chat about it at swimming this evening. Brian I

The hats will be a must for this time of year, don't dis the wetsuits they are great for providing that extra drag when your training.

Hi Colm,
Word on the street is that it is definetly going ahead next Monday. The powers that be will make a decision tonight at swimming and then spread the good word.

Guys,
great swim today. C-c-c-c-cold at first but once the blood got circulating it was great. Are people up to kicking it off on the Friday nights again?

Are people up to kicking it off on the Friday nights again? Ronan I am, but I can't make the next two Fridays.

Brian, maybe you can talk with everyone at the Weds night swim and let me know? Just 1 thing from me, is 7:30pm a bit late? 7:00pm would suit me better but I'll have to live with 7:30pm if this is better for other people Thanks, Ronan

Oh I felt for ye all! And yes, I am a total wuss and wouldnt get in that freezin lake!! But, when I eventually do hop in, I'd echo Ronan's call for a 7.00pm start - and a Brian Boyle 7.00pm start, not meeting at 7.00 for Tea and scones.
