Keep an eye on the weather. I ran, or should I say skated, the Aware 10k last Saturday in the Pheonix Park. The roads in the park were very icy in spots, especially in the shade and witnessed a couple of fallers.
Don't think it is to be as cold this weekend though and the later start could help. It was a 10am start last week.

No bother. Its advertised as a 5K race but its really 5 mile. it starts from Kerrigans 11am St Stephans day. Out to hospital, castlepollard road, on to motor way, back on to delvin road pass st lomans, dublin bridge, through town, up castle st to kerrigans. Hot one's in kerrigans afterwards. Its in aid of 3 charities this year, St marys Hospital, Saplings and Larcc cancer centre. There's no entrance as such just a donation on the day will do, or if ya want a card to collect a few more shillings, that can be arranged. A few dodge GAA ladies are organiseing it, hence the obscruity with distance.

By the way, it's not a handicap race. so ya don't get to sit back on your laurles watch all the arses pass and still collect a prize.

More like a few dodgey folk running it (Aidan ;D). Reading between the lines some people obviously were not too happy with their times last year hense the "obscurity in distance" remark. Obscurity in distance my foot, more like too much turkey day before Why not travel to Newtownforbes St. Stephens Day for a "5K" run, think it's at 1pm. Dont think there is an obscurity in distance issue there. And if you want the stuffing knocked out of you (literally) a few of the club members even cycyle down to the race as their warm up
