Well done to Paul and Alan in Groomsport last weekend in the Half Ironman Race, phenomenol racing from the pair, with Alan finishing 28th ! Swim 1.9km, Bike 90km, Run 21km
Alan Maye Swim 47:02, Bike 1:43:50, Run 1:43:20 Total 5:20
Paul O'Brien Swim 43:15, Bike 2:56:17, Run 2:07:03, Total 5:49

While I know Alan is a legend cyclist I think we should have sent him to the Olympics to do the Velodrom cycling. With this time in open doors 52+ kph he would have won the Olympic GOLD. Those guys can only get to a 57kph average for 4 Kilometers indoors . I reckon woth the 52 outside alan could have done a 65kph in doors. Good luck in London, That is all I say !
