Hi All
With race season kicking off in the not too distant future, we're starting to think about which race would be good for the club race this year.
We've gone to the Two Provinces Tri in Lanesboro for the last couple of years but as it's NS this year (Congrats to Lanesboro Tri Club!) we're looking at other races where it'll be easier to get a large number registered.
Lough Ree Monster Sprint Tri has been suggested as a possibility - it's on Sat 8th June in Knockcroghery, near Athlone.
Let us know your thoughts/other suggestions here please!
Thanks Emmajo ;D

Was just contacted by a mate who is organising Pulse Tri club's sprint near clogherhead on the 25th May. Its not national series this year so they are offering 10% discount for group entries and will ensure all club members are racked together. I've never done this race but thought I'd put it out there for consideration

Lough Ree for the Walshes also, weekend of Clougherhead is also a Community games national final weekend so several club member families will be at that.

Hullo again! After being flooded with suggestions above and extensive consultation, we're now thinking of having Longford's 'Lord of the Dring Triathlon' as the club race - it's on Saturday 27th July. Clogherhead's maybe a wee bit early in the season and Lough Ree Monster would be good but it's very close datewise to the Kidathon and Fighting Cancer and it's nice to have a bit of breathing space between all the club events! Watch this space for further details.... Emmajo

Hi Folks, Apologies for the radio silence on this!! We can now confirm for sure that the Club Race will be Longford Triathlon's Lord of the Dring on Sat 27th July. This is a sprint distance tri on a nice course (Doug says... ) and not too far away to travel. You can do it as an individual or as part of a relay team. You can enter here: www.longfordtri.ie/?page_id=882Please remember to put Midland Triathon as your club when registering as they are reserving places for us. Hope to see you all there Emmajo
